Diablo IV is officially available in China through NetEase, but this version is not currently supported by Overwolf GEP.
Overwolf correctly detects both the international and NetEase versions as Diablo IV under the same game ID. The overlay and required feature registration also work normally. However, on the NetEase version, the Diablo IV game monitor fails to initialize with the error failed_initializing_monitor, so apps cannot receive character, location, match, or other game event data.
The international version already provides these events correctly. Adding compatibility for the NetEase build would allow Overwolf apps that rely on Diablo IV GEP—such as interactive maps and companion tools—to work for players in China.
Overwolf Support has confirmed that the NetEase version currently has a different executable or memory layout and has forwarded the issue to the relevant team.
Please add official GEP support for the NetEase/Chinese build of Diablo IV.
