Hey there!
First of all thanks for providing this amazing peace of software! As a fellow developer I can only imagine how hard it must be to capture all these game events for certain titles.
I've recently started using Overwolf in combination with Outplayed to record my best gameplay moments, or to learn from my worst. However I usually play with friends using discord, but due to discord using the chat channel of my dual channel headset Overwolf can't record it (at the same time as the game audio at least).
I can't imagine I'm the only person running into this issue, and thus I would like to propose this change.
I just want to ping this topic, because this is not only a, to me and many others, very important feature, but also one that I CODED MYSELF IN 3 HOURS, which were mostly spent understanding Outplayed's (sorry for language) frankly dogsh*t code filled with useless, one or two letter variable names. No wonder you guys don't add any features, I wouldn't like working on that holy mess either.
My point being, how can you not add a feature in more than 3 years that I can throw together in a few hours without knowing your code at all?
I'd merge it for you guys if you had a git repository, but nah, you gatekeep a feature that's basically only adding one line of code if you always have it record multiple tracks (with the first one being both audios together, so noone would notice except for those who'd use it) or a few more if you want to add a slider.
Do better. xD
Sad they want us to pay a subscription but will never update it
Any updates????
any updates? I too have a 2 audio outputs for game and chat and I'm tired of having to rember to start OBS just to have VC in my recording (and not mixed that is)
This is still not been implemented after 2 years... Would be nice to know why it is still not.
Hi Team Overwolf, I don't believe that fixes this issue, only the merged idea, which is a different issue. I have a similar headset to OP, and on that headset, it creates two audio devices in windows: one for gaming, and one for chat. So the feature request is to be able to record from two windows audio output devices. I've attached a screenshot of my windows audio devices for reference.
Yes!! We have in the latest Overwolf version we added this option to the Overwolf API so app devs can use it and capture only your games sound and noting else.
So SOON!
Any updates?
Any ideas? Why would I want to record my keyboard sounds along with my Discord voice chat? I want the game sound and mic sound on separate tracks so I can edit unnecessary stuff out in the process.
ASghostKI A, We have it in our roadmap but no ETA yet... Sorry
Same here Any updates on this?
